Bollhoff Fastenings will be exhibiting at next year's Southern Manufacturing Show which is being held on 15th and 16 th February 2012 at FIVE in Farnborough.

Central to the company's demonstration will be the Snaploc range of reusable push-on/pull-off fasteners and Flexitol tolerance compensating fixings, which have delivered manufacturing cost savings for customers. The Snaploc system minimises vibration and noise while allowing quick and easy 'snap-fit' installation as well as disassembly for servicing, repair or replacement: without the need for special tools. It's simple two part – ball and cup – design enables online assembly operation times to be reduced and offers the potential to benefit from further manufacturing savings by reducing the number of parts required in the fastening process. Flexitol stepless tolerance compensation fasteners enable precision alignment of parts during assembly. Greater manufacturing flexibility is achieved allowing costs to be reduced as well as the prospect of additional savings by increasing the tolerances on outsourced parts – all the while retaining quality. Installation involves inserting the retaining element of the fastener into a pre-punched hole. A friction bush adjustment element is then fitted into the Flexitol and the fastening bolt is inserted and turned to achieve perfect alignment. Assembly can be from one side only and the system is easily integrated into manufacturing procedures. Bollhoff UK also supplies a mechanical insertion tool with hydraulic-pneumatic drive option for setting the system.
