INSETO (UK) LTD INTRODUCES NEW DUAL CURING ADHESIVES

Inseto Ltd is proud to introduce DELO’s range of dual-curing epoxies and acrylics to the UK market. These are ideal for applications where a shadow zone exists to prevent complete UV curing, where precision accuracy is required, or when low temperature materials are being processed.

The three families of adhesives in the dual-curing range will satisfy most applications. DELO’s mCD epoxies can be tacked in place using a short burst of high-intensity light, and then fully heat-cured at 80C in a subsequent mandatory oven-curing process. Therefore they are ideal for temperature-sensitive materials, especially low cost plastics.

DELO’s dual-curing cationic epoxies can be cured either by UV light or by heat, or by a combination of the two. They are extremely resistant to media such as petrol, diesel and motor oils, as well as industrial chemicals such as printing inks. The independent curing mechanisms of these adhesives offer ultimate flexibility when deciding which curing process to adapt into a production flow.

The third range of dual-curing adhesives are acrylate-based, and are cured using a combination of UV light and humidity. These are ideally suited for applications such as touch-screen assembly, where most screens have a black border that prevent light-cure. The humidity-component of the adhesive ensures full cure over the whole product area.
