NOF Metal Coatings Group has launched what it believes is the first training centre dedicated entirely to zinc flake anti-corrosion technology

Located 20 minutes from Paris-Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport near Paris, the centre is equipped with industrial scale facilities and offers much diversified training and has for its main aim to follow the evolution and challenges linked to Geomet coatings. Geomet and Dacromet coatings are industrially applied by a worldwide licensee's network. Today, more than 3500 tons of fasteners are coated daily worldwide. The company believes the creation of this training centre represents a strategic means aiming at effectively controlling the evolution of its products on a global scale. During the courses, participants will handle compounds in a specific laboratory, use salt spray cabinets and carry out physical measurement, electrochemical or tribology tests. Key to the centre's success is information, training and communication, explained Isabelle Perche, head of the Quality Department and executive in charge of the training centre. "When attending a session at our European training centre, the trainees will be immersed in the heart of our industrial daily life of research and engineering," she said. "The training will be performed by highly experienced specialists who are ready to share the passion for their job."
